Meat Factory is a company based in Wakayama City that has been in the meat wholesale business for about 25 years.
We sell meat that we source from our in-house and partner farms and the market to retail, wholesale, specialty stores, as well as hotels within the prefecture and famous hotels and restaurants throughout Japan.In addition, we also directly operate our own retail store and restaurant.

Our philosophy is to deliver safe, clean and quality meats to our customers not only within Wakayama, but throughout Japan.

In addition, our mission is to be the link between the consumers and livestock farmers throughout Japan, and to showcase delicious meat of Wakayama. In order to do so, we are also working on expanding the breeding and sales channels of the local beef from “Kumano” and Kishu-Waka.”

The company also aims to become a meat wholesaler that supports Wakayama, which ranks among the top in Japan in terms of beef consumption by prefecture. One of our initiatives is “Meat Dining Kitagawa Ushi Samurai”.

In order to provide as many people as possible with the taste of our products, we are raising them at our own farms and at our partner farms.
We also want to convey the appeal of Wakayama’s branded beef to everyone who visits Wakayama.

We take it upon ourselves to raise our livestock in-house or at our partner farms to make sure that as many people as possible can enjoy our products that Our in-house local brand of beef” Kumano beef” and “Kishu Waka beef” produced in Wakayama.

Kisyu Waka is Joined the Kishu Waka Beef Council that was founded to maintain quality. By taking charge of both the raising and wholesale aspects of the business in-house, we are contributing to the expansion of sales channel while maintaining the brand. Although in 2019 we only saw 2 Kishu-Waka cows being shipped every 2 months, currently there are shipments of 8 cows per month, or 100 cows annually. We want to showcase this Black Wagyu that we have worked hard to cultivate its delicious red meat flavors through SDGs initiatives.

We only source premium quality products that we have selected from hundreds of cows in the market before we sell to our customers.
As professionals in this field, we thoroughly implement quality checks at the sourcing phase in order to make sure that only the freshest and good quality meats enter the market.

In addition, we also are making effort to ensure a safe and stable supply and sell at reasonable prices by introducing the calves sourced in the auction market to our partner farms.

Meats are turned to blocks, thinly sliced and aged at our in-house factory. We also produce and sell processed products such as hams and sausages. In addition, we source quality wild game from our contracted hunters in Wakayama to sell meats and processed products such as sausages, etc.

In 2016, we renovated our company building and introduced HACCP (Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Point) management. Under our thorough hygiene management system, we have established an environment that can provide fresh, safe and clean products to our customers.
